PSWGA is working with the PA Fibershed that will provide a channel of communication between wool producers and wool consumers. It is common that we hear farmers say that they do not have a market for their wool, and yet it is also common to hear fiber enthusiasts say that they cannot find wool to work with. There are several steps along the path from sheep to consumer, and we believe that by understanding the expectations, limitations and perceptions of the people at each step, we can better serve the consumer with a high quality product.

September 16, 2025 the PSWGA and PA Fibershed have scheduled a joint educational tour of the woolen mill facility at Willow Creek Farm Preserve in PA.  The event will be from 1 - 5pm. The intention is to have a collaboration that involves farmers, wool handlers, woolen mills, designers, creators and consumers.  As we listen to, and understand, each wool handler along the path, we will hopefully find solutions that we can all benefit from.  To this purpose, we also have other joint events in the planning stages.

PSWGA has a collaborative agreement with the PA Fibershed
