2025 Make It With Wool Winners Announced
Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Pennsylvania Make It With Wool contest. Each entrant constructed at least one wool or wool-blend garment, using knitting, crocheting, and/or sewing skills. Each entrant’s ensemble was flat-judged and then judged while being modeled by the entrant. Judging is based on Poise, Construction of the Garment(s), Fit and Wearability, and Promotion of the Versatility of Wool. The purpose of the contest is to promote the beauty and versatility of wool fabrics and yarns; to encourage personal creativity in sewing, knitting and crocheting with wool fabrics and yarns; to recognize creative skills; and to develop life skills. Categories include Pre-Teen, Junior, Senior, and Adult. First place Junior category winner Kali Bucklen and First Place Senior category winner Hope Wagner will travel to represent Pennsylvania at the National MIWW contest during the American Sheep Industry Association annual meeting in January, 2026 in Reno, Nevada. The first place winner in the Adult category, Mindy Bickel, will send her garment, with photos and a video, for judging at the National MIWW contest.
